I learned how to do laundry like many of us did, from my mother. The most important part of the chore was, sorting. Darks, whites, reds, they all need their own special load into the washer. Sometimes you don't have enough to make a full load so you are forced to wait until you wear that right color to fill the machine. Or, you put those reds in with the blues and they then come out dingy. They've lost that brand new luster that made you purchase that special blouse in the first place! Even worse, your wonderful husband (love you Mr. B!) decides to give you a hand and that red blouse goes in with the whites and he is now left to go to work with pink undershirts. Well, I am here to tell you friends, I have found the perfect solution to color bleeding accidents! The sorting rules have changed thanks to the new Purex No Sort Detergent For Colors! Those days of sorting laundry are over!
I was lucky enough to receive a free bottle of Purex No Sort For Colors to test for myself. I am here to say, I love it! It does just what it promises. It does prevent color bleeding.
It contains a breakthrough Anti-Color-Transfer Technology that acts as a dye transfer inhibitor. Not that it promises magical results. This detergent is meant to reduce color bleed accidents. Purex recommends that you still pre-wash strongly colored fabrics and bright new clothing at least 5 times before washing in a load with different colors.
I love that the loads I tested Purex No Sort detergent in, whites, lights, darks and reds, came out with no stains. I was kind of thinking I'd open the washer and see little droplets of dye stuck to the sides of the washing machine. Nope, I can stop sorting the laundry! Everything was as clean as could be!
Another selling point for me is the smell! OMG! When I went to use it the first time I was amazed at how fresh and, well, clean it smelled! And that smell lasted right through the dryer!
I see this new detergent as a fantastic tool in my laundry arsenal to not only save me time but, my favorite, money!
Now some good news for you, Purex has a giveaway going on with No Sorts for Colors, check it out here. You could win $1,000 and a one year supply of laundry detergent!

I probably should be ashamed to admit this, but I never get these contest thingies right. I never know if I'm supposed to comment HERE like a usual comment, or in some box up there on the contest thing. Anyway, I had seen this advertised and was curious as to whether it worked or not. Good to hear that it does!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm supposed to tell my least favorite chore thing here, I will say that cleaning a bathroom is my least favorite. I have four of the stupid things, too.
Very neat! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite chore is scrubbing the bathtub. That is followed closely by pairing socks!!
ReplyDeleteReading this made me so nervous. I am so anal about sorting my laundry, LOL! But this sounds like a really great product! I actually like doing laundry, but my least favorite chore is scrubbing bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteWe always have to use the "free & clear" laundry soap because of allergies & eczema, but this stuff sounds awesome. Not entering, but pinning to my giveaway board. =0)
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite chore is removing the laundry from the dryer and removing the dishes from the dishwasher. My laundry is more often going through an extra "fluff" cycle and the dishes stack in the sink waiting their turn in the dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteI hate vacuuming the stairs. I need a roomba that does that :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting... I'm sure I'll still sort since it doesn't say anything about being available in Free & Clear and we can't use anything with fragrance added to it.
ReplyDeleteThis dishes!
ReplyDeleteThis seems so interesting. I'm the worst at sorting my clothes so it seems like something I really could use :)
Since I've been seeing Purex a lot lately, I went to the store and bought some. I love how clean my clothes came out and my clothes smelled so fresh!
ReplyDeleteI want to try this. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI feel like my mind is blown a little bit. Not sorting colors? But... that's, like, the first thing my mom told me to do when she taught me how to do laundry!
ReplyDeleteOK I want to try this one!
ReplyDeleteGoing from a family of six to a family of two was a major adjustment in the laundry department! This is perfect for these empty-nesters!
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite chore is cleaning bathrooms! Seems to be pretty common here ; )
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate unloading the dishwasher!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing this commercial on TV...it makes me laugh every single time! Cause it reminds me of my mom and grandma doing laundry and having to sort everything. I do the same exact thing although I've got a bit lazy through the years and just wash the colors (on cold) together. I'll have to try this out though to see if it helps keep the colors locked in when I do that. :) Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI think that laundry is my least favorite household chore as it takes so much time. Not having to sort colors would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Kathe,
Patti
I love Purex, it's the only brand I use! Haven't heard of this but can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite would be the dishes
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Purex but always wondered about it!
ReplyDeleteOMG I NEED THIS! My husband and I live in NYC and since we live in a shoebox of an apartment we don't have a washer and dryer. It's such a pain in the butt to do multiple loads at the laundromat because sometimes we don't have enough of one color to do an entire load so we either spend money to wash something that's not a full load or we wait and then find ourselves without whites/darks/whatever because we haven't done it in awhile. It's awful! This laundry detergent could be the answer to my laundry prayers!
ReplyDeleteLove this. I never sort! eek
ReplyDeleteI love this too. I am the worst with cleaning nowadays.
ReplyDeletemy least favorite is dishes!
ReplyDeleteLaundry ... with seven people, it never, ever ends!!!!! And I swear it multiplies!!
ReplyDeleteDishes. Absolutely. I'd rather scrub the toilet!
ReplyDeleteLeast favorite household chore is laundry!! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI absolutely HATE cleaning my toilets!
ReplyDeleteEither laundry or mopping! Both feel like such a production that is never done!
ReplyDeleteI don't like cleaning. Period. But toilets are the worst! Lol
ReplyDeleteVacuuming. Ick.
ReplyDeleteTotally need to try this, I mess up our clothes ALL the time!
ReplyDeleteMad sorting skills right here... Hubs, not so much. It drives me MAD! Now it won't I LOVE Purex, didn't know they made a no sort, that's awesome. Hope I can find it here in Canada. thanks for sharing! xo
