You're Gonna Love It Tuesday

Fail!

In my excitement of going to meet my Sweetpea and visiting with my son and daughter-in-law, I totally forgot to set up the party before I left last week!
So, this week you can link up what you would have then as well as this week's new posts.

The trip was awesome!  Miss Sweetpea is beautiful and sweet and, for only being 5 weeks old, sooo smart!
I got smiles and covered her in as many kisses as time allowed!
My trip was cut short due to weather and for a time it didn't look like I would A) even get there and
B) make it back home
Delays, cancellations and everything in between meant I got there late and had to leave early.
But, you can bet I crammed as much loving as I could in the shorter time.

Moving on!

Let's Party!

Feel free to link up anything you have created.
Recipes, decor, crafts, written or photographed.
Anything you are so proud of you just gotta share it with others.
I will reserve the option of deleting any post that I do not feel fits the
theme of my blog.

I love to spotlight some of my favorites on my Facebook page and pin them to my You're Gonna Love It Tuesday board on Pinterest so,
be sure to follow me there too! As always, you don't have to be a follower in order to link up. I want you to follow Kathe With An E because you want to, not because it is required.

I ask that you please DO NOT link up giveaways, Etsy shops or anything for sale. Save those for the first Tuesday of each month (NEXT WEEK!) when,
Anything Goes!

Laundry Room Decor

Do you remember a few months ago, not long after we moved into our new house, I shared my awesome laundry room?
Laundry Room Decor
I am just in love with this room still! It's just so BIG! And it is doing its job well in storing a ton of my tablescaping and decor props too!

But you must admit, as I did, it's not pretty.  It needed some extra touches. So, I hit up Cost Plus, Hobby Lobby and Home Depot and added some decor, perfect for a laundry room.
Laundry Room Decor
On the right you will see Mr. B added even more cupboards for me! Spoiled? Me? Maybe just a smidge lol! But, let's take a look at the left side of the window shall we?
Laundry Room Decor
I moved the WASH sign I had made for the laundry room in our previous home from by the window onto this wall.  I then purchased a shelf and brackets from Home Depot and had Mr. B put it up for me.  Yes I could have put it up myself but, I really wanted it level and Mr. B is way more patient precise than I am when it comes to those little details.
Laundry Room Decor
On the shelf I placed a cute handled cleaning bin from the laundry room collection at Cost Plus. I loved it the instant I saw it.  The shape, the color, I knew I had to have it.  I also got the vintage clothes pins from the collection and placed them in one of my large canning jars topped with some cute gingham material.
Laundry Room Decor
The adorable laundry room sign I got on sale from Hobby Lobby.
Laundry Room Decor
I loved the saying even though I think Mr. B has done maybe one load of laundry since we got the new washer and dryer a year ago lol!  I cut some material I had on hand into a strip and used it to hang the sign. A nice unexpected pop of fun color, yes?
Laundry Room Decor
I will be on the look out for some more cute vintage and eclectic laundry room decor to add to the wall.  My biggest goal/ score would be to find some vintage wooden and wire hangers.  Or, a toy sized vintage ironing board. Or...well you get what I am going for here right? Wish me luck in my hunt!

You're Gonna Love It Tuesday!

What a week eh?
Pardon the eh.  Mr. B's dad's memorial and celebration
of his life was this past weekend.
It was a beautiful ceremony full of tears, laughter and hugs!
Mr. B's father would have been so proud of his two sons.
The love there is something that just makes me so honored
to be a part of of such a wonderful family.

It was also 2 and a half days surrounded by Mr. B's aunts, uncles and cousins that came down from Canada, hence the "eh" LOL!
It was wonderful to get to meet some that I hadn't,as well as, get to know those that I had, even better.

Now, I am packing my bag and getting ready to jet off and hug that little granddaughter of mine this weekend!
Can you believe she is already a month old??
Slow down Sweetpea!
Grandma Colorado is counting the minutes
until she gets to hug you like crazy!!

I am so ready to party with you all this week
so, let's do this!

The most viewed post from last weeks party came from Laura who, along with her daughter Angela, blogs over at
Super crafty Laura showed us how to make some super sweet Valentine's Day decor using items found at the dollar store.
I'm loving these blinged out votives for sure!
Thank you Laura for this fun post! Be sure to grab an

You're Gonna Love It Tuesday - Anything Goes!

Happy New Year Friends!
Welcome to the first party of the first month of the new year!!

I hope you all have recovered from the festivities of the past few months and, like me, are looking forward to Spring?
Especially after the Arctic Blast most of us have been dealing with!
It was so cold here (how cold was it?) that after I came in from sweeping the snow off of the deck stairs so Max would go down and do his bizness,
I stuck my head in the freezer to warm up! Ka-Cha! LOL!

How about we all warm up with some heavy duty partying?
It is the first Tuesday of the month so,
ANYTHING GOES!

First things first!
The most viewed post from last weeks party came from Dawn, one of the bloggers at
Dawn clued us in on a home remedy for stopping a cold
Since it seems I catch something every time I travel, I am stocking up on a couple of bottles of this to have on hand after my visit with
my lil Sweetpea in 2 weeks! Thank you Dawn!
Be sure to grab yourself an I've Been Featured button and display it proudly!

Now Let The Partying Commence!

Anything Goes this week!!

You can link up your regular posts as always
but, this week you can also link up your giveaways,
your Etsy shops, your Ebay stores,
your own link parties!
Anything and everything!

All I ask is that you keep it clean and
family friendly and try to limit your posts to only 5 link ups.

I reserve the option of deleting any post
that I do not feel fits the

Mantel Decor

Now that the holidays are over and all of the Christmas decor has been purged, repacked and put away, it was time to think about the mantel decor I wanted for the new house. I had gone pretty blingy with the Christmas decor on the mantel and wanted something fresh and light for the New Year.
Mantel Decor
My jumping off point was the new clock I got on a daily deal from Lowes after Black Friday.
I had been looking all over for a big clock in brown for a good (read: cheap) price and Lowes came through!  50% off so I got it for $24.99! Squeee!
Mantel Decor
And the best news?  Unlike the previous clock we had,
Mantel Decor
when the house is quiet, you don't hear it TICK TOCK! That was one of Mr. B's biggest concerns...it had to be seen but not heard. Done!

Next up was figuring out what else I wanted on the mantel.  I went through all of my home decor bins and when I saw the two blue vases that were a gift from my mother-in-law I knew they would be perfect.
Mantel Decor
I then added the tall metal piece that I normally kept on the floor by the fireplace.  It was a Hobby Lobby deal from many years ago that I painted gold and dry brushed on some rusty brown.
Mantel Decor
It added just the right amount of height to the left side.

The right side took me a bit longer to find the right pieces.  Just when I thought I liked it, I decided I didn't and had to go searching again. I think I finally got the look I was hoping for.
Mantel Decor
Two candle stands I got from Kirkland's awhile back and framed piece, again from Hobby Lobby clearance.
Mantel Decor
I love the sentiment and the colors are perfect!
Mantel Decor
And the finished mantel!
Mantel Decor
Simple and not over done.
Mantel Decor
I think this is setting the trend for how I intend to decorate the rest of the house.  The KISS method. Keep It Simple Sugar!
