You're Gonna Love It Tuesday

I want to start this week off by offering my sincere and heartfelt prayers to those of you in any of the recent tornado ravaged areas!
I hope that none of you, my dear friends, have been, or possibly will be, affected by the horribly scary weather!
Take care please!

Do you know what happened 2 years ago at this time?
The very first You're Gonna Love It Tuesday party debuted!
Some of you have been with me the full 2 years, so let me ask you,
Can you believe how time flies?
How many good times we have had in the past 2 years!
Ah, I love each and everyone of you that links up!
With all of the link parties out there, thank you so much for stopping by here and showing off your very best stuff!

Now, before I get to crying,
Let's Party!!

Last weeks most viewed link came from the sweet Penny that blogs at
Penny shared the "ugly truth" about her studio.
Oh Penny I wish my craft space was half as "ugly" as yours LOL!
Be sure to grab yourself an I've Been Featured button Penny and display it proudly!

Let's Party!!
Here are the party rules:

Purex No Sort For Colors Detergent - The Rules Have Changed!

Disclosure: I recieved Purex No Sorts for Colors as a part of the Purex Insiders Group; however all opinions expressed are always my own.

I learned how to do laundry like many of us did, from my mother.  The most important part of the chore was, sorting. Darks, whites, reds, they all need their own special load into the washer.  Sometimes you don't have enough to make a full load so you are forced to wait until you wear that right color to fill the machine.  Or, you put those reds in with the blues and they then come out dingy.  They've lost that brand new luster that made you purchase that special blouse in the first place!  Even worse, your wonderful husband (love you Mr. B!) decides to give you a hand and that red blouse goes in with the whites and he is now left to go to work with pink undershirts. Well, I am here to tell you friends, I have found the perfect solution to color bleeding accidents!  The sorting rules have changed thanks to the new Purex No Sort Detergent For Colors! Those days of sorting laundry are over!

I was lucky enough to receive a free bottle of Purex No Sort For Colors to test for myself. I am here to say, I love it! It does just what it promises. It does prevent color bleeding.
It contains a breakthrough Anti-Color-Transfer Technology that acts as a dye transfer inhibitor.  Not that it promises magical results.  This detergent is meant to reduce color bleed accidentsPurex recommends that you still pre-wash strongly colored fabrics and bright new clothing at least 5 times before washing in a load with different colors.

I love that the loads I tested Purex No Sort detergent in, whites, lights, darks and reds, came out with no stains. I was kind of thinking I'd open the washer and see little droplets of dye stuck to the sides of the washing machine. Nope, I can stop sorting the laundry! Everything was as clean as could be!
Another selling point for me is the smell!  OMG!  When I went to use it the first time I was amazed at how fresh and, well, clean it smelled!  And that smell lasted right through the dryer!

I see this new detergent as a fantastic tool in my laundry arsenal to not only save me time but, my favorite, money!
Now some good news for you, Purex has a giveaway going on with No Sorts for Colors, check it out here. You could win $1,000 and a one year supply of laundry detergent!
Want some even better news?  Three of my awesome readers (that's 3 of YOU!) can enter to win a coupon for a free bottle of Purex No Sort For Colors of your own to try! *Open to residents of the U.S. 18+.

A Healthy Workout In The Garden #TENways #PMedia

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TENways http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

With Summer is just around the corner, I know a lot of the younger gals are thinking about getting ready for swimsuit season. I, however, am not. As you all know, I am a woman of a certain age and some things just ain't gonna happen, like seeing me in a 2-piece! This is not to say I don't want to look good and that I am not concerned about my health. I just know that words like "Zumba" and "Step Class" are no longer in my vocabulary.

So, how do we older, but still active, ladies get rid of that winter weight?
You could do what I do, I go for a healthy work out, in the garden!
Kathe With An E - A Healthy Garden Workout
See those 10 bags of garden soil? They didn't get there by themselves. I had to bring them from the front driveway, down the side of the house, to the backyard. 10 bags! I did 2 bags at a time so it was back and forth 5 times carrying a heavy weight. No expensive gym membership required! No equipment purchased to later become a bulky clothes hanger. Added bonus? Fresh air baby!!

And, before I could even lay down the new garden soil, I had to prep the existing soil in the vegetable garden. What I found was, not one but, two layers of gardening weed control fabric. I needed to remove both layers so that my plants roots had somewhere to go! That meant I had to move the soil TWICE! More heavy dirty work that also included bending over and pulling at the fabric as I moved the dirt out of the way, from one end of the garden to the other and back again. Up and down, pulling and tugging. Bend those knees, use those dormant muscles Kath! Feel the burn!

The weed barrier duo did not beat me! Oh yeah, it took some time and I was a sweaty, muddy mess, but I won!! And it felt so good!

I then put the new soil down and tilled it all together. (I saved a couple of bags for an herb garden I have planned in another area, so um, they'll be moved again)
Kathe With An E - A Healthy Garden Workout
Oh yeah! One garden ready for planting in about 6 weeks time!
Kathe With An E - A Healthy #Garden #Workout
Even better with the addition of some fencing to keep Mr. Max out!

After that workout I was hungry and thirsty! Luckily I had picked up some tasty, low calorie sodas from Walmart.
Kathe With An E - #TENways
There are actually four TEN products that can be found at Walmart from the DPSG (Dr Pepper Snapple Group) in 7UP, Sunkist, A&W, or Canada Dry Ginger Ale. The Four TEN sodas are Low Calorie, only ten calories actually, but each has that great full flavor taste I love!
Kathe With An E - #TENways
Not only is it refreshing to drink after a hard workout in the garden, I used some of the TEN A&W Root Beer to make a healthier sauce for some 'qued ribs!
Kathe With An E - Root Beer BBQ Sauce

Root Beer BBQ Sauce
(adapted from www.mrfood.com)

  • 1 cup A&W TEN Calorie Root Beer
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar (to keep it healthier I substituted 3 tablespoons of organic honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients; mix well and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 20 minutes, or until sauce is reduced by half.
Kathe With An E - Root Beer BBQ Sauce
Some freshly made cole slaw on the side kept my meal light.
Kathe With An E - Root Beer BBQ Sauce
There were plenty leftover for Mr. B too.  He loved the sweet sticky sauce and could not believe it was healthier for him! And he does love root beer! Now he can really enjoy it, TEN calories at a time!

I'll be keeping cold cans of the TEN products on hand for a refreshing light, full flavored drink, to look forward to as I work out in tend to my garden this season!

You can join me in keeping  up with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group on Facebook and Twitter. And here's a treat, when you go to Walmart to pick up your TEN soda , make sure you print out this great coupon for $0.50 off the purchase of TWO 2 Liter bottles or TWO 4-pack cans of 7UP TEN, A&W TEN, Canada Dry TEN, RC TEN or Sunkist TEN soda. AND...if you share this offer you can get a $1.50 off coupon!! Woot! This offer is available from March 27 – April 17, while supplies last.

Now I ask you, how do you plan to get back in shape after the long winter months?

    Easter Tablescape #Hopitforward

I am a World Market ambassador. As always, all opinions are my own.

Recently I found myself, once again, at my favorite store, World Market, trying to get inspiration for an Easter tablescape.  World Market is just full of Easter decor this time of year and it wasn't long before my creative juices started flowing and my cart was full of goodies to set the perfect table.
Kathe With An E - Easter Tablescape
This sweet bunny with his hands full of carrots was my jumping off point.
Usually my holiday tables are more formal. You may remember the Easter table I set last year, seen here. This year, I decided to set a fun table, full of greens and bright oranges, like the bunny's carrots.
Kathe With An E - Easter Tablescape
I started with a green tablecloth from World Market, as it reminded me of Spring green grass. I've had the square orange dinner plates for years and I love how they frame the bunny dish perfectly!
Kathe With An E - Easter Centerpiece
I knew I wanted to use the terrarium that was a Christmas gift from Mr. B for the centerpiece. I spied the cute wooden bunny, fishing for carrots, staring at me, begging me actually, and had to bring him home! He fit perfectly, and surrounded by some of the carrots he "caught", he makes a sweet focal point on the table.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table

Kathe With An E - Easter Table
He has a couple of bunny helpers to help carry his carrots too! As well as a pair of smaller bunnies with their own tiny carrots.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table

Kathe With An E - Easter Table
The World Market wooden bunny napkin rings each have a carrot of their own too.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
No one goes hungry at my table, not even bunnies!
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
Mr. B fell in love with this little egg holder from World Market.  Once it gets closer to Easter we will dye some eggs and I will put them in this carrier.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
I also found these little take out boxes at World Market.  I used some orange basket filler and placed green and orange foiled covered chocolate eggs in each as little take away gifts.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
I had some little ceramic lambs in my stash and I just knew they'd be a cute unexpected addition to the table.
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
Doesn't he just make you smile? Me too!
Kathe With An E - Easter Table
I had so much fun setting up this holiday table thanks to all of the inspiration I found at World Market!

That's right!  This party gets started right around 6:00 PM Mountain time on Monday each week and the doors stay open until 11:55 PM on Thursday.
