We are in the middle of a late winter blizzard.
Judging by the snow on the patio chair
I'd say we have about 7-8 inches so far
with more to come this afternoon into the evening.
I don't think we'll be sitting out there any time soon!
Luckily, we had no plans to be out and about so, today was the perfect day to get my craft on!
Valentine's Day has been packed away for this year
and with only a few weeks until St. Patrick's Day
I decided to create a simple wreath to put on the front door.
I received the grapevine wreath for free from Ms K when she moved a few months ago.
The welcome shamrock is from the Dollar Tree as are all of the other embellishments.
I don't think I've ever said something had to much glitter!
Even the green tipped carnations are sprinkled with glitter.
Of course, I'll have to wait until the snow stops and I can get out before I can add it to the front door to great guests.
Until then, I'll keep it up on the wall in the hallway to welcome us up the stairs each day!
And, since it's still snowing and my glue gun is still locked and loaded,
I'll just have to find something else to craft!

week.

Ok I'll listen to you gripe about the snow but I'm not gonna feel sorry for you! Cute wreath.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is adorable - between you and Danni ( Silo Hill Farm ) I'm feeling very inadequate with holiday decorating lol!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm officially fed up with snow now - I'm praying March is a good month - sometimes it can be worse than all of them put together here in Montreal!
Hugs,
Suzan
What an amazing snow picture! It looks wonderful to us here in FLA!
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is so cute, it'll soon be that time. I can't wait.

Ooooohhhh Kathe, your porch looks soooooo cold! We've had a cold, windy day too, but no snow. Your bright, St. Patty's green decorations are certainly a reminder of a beautiful spring to come!
ReplyDeleteCute wreath! Since I'm leaving for Texas I'm not going to do any St Pat's decorations this year. Glad you have the snow and not me!! Stay warm and craft away! hugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteWe got snow today in New Mexico, some of the drifts on our front porch are about 2 ft high! We don't get much snow here in Eastern NM, so it's a real treat! Love your wreath, I haven't ever decorated for St Pat's day, maybe I will...it looks fun! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteBack again...I am a no-reply commenter and that makes me sad! I've tried to fix it but I can't seem to figure out how..lol! Hugs, Penny

I cannot believe all of that snow! We almost never get any in Georgia any more - in the past, it would snow a little every few years. Love the wreath - hope you get to hang it soon!

This year the Ground Hog predicted an early spring but I think he couldn't have been more wrong! It seems everyone has snow and more so than in previous years! Down here in Mississippi we even had snow yesterday and that is unheard of for March in Mississippi!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up your St. Patty's Day wreath at Party In Polka Dots!
Have a wonderful week!

Never thought of making a wreath for St. Paddy's Day. The patio chair did not really looking inviting to sit on.
