You all know that I had been looking forward
to this past Saturday for
months!
As you know, it was all organized by
Rashon Carraway of
and Nate Berkus fame.
All around the country groups of people
met up and spent the day doing what we love,
THRIFTING!
The Denver group was hosted by the lovely and funny
Deanna.
This years event was extra special because we
were also joined by
Lisa from
Lisa lives in Arizona but, was visiting family
in New Mexico and, made the
drive up to Denver to be with us!
She and Deanna are sisters of different mothers!
Both are so full of life!
We were 11 strong!
This photo was taken at our first
Goodwill stop.
The Stapleton location is a bright and
shiny new store.
Loved it!
Look how full my cart is!
(Can you guess which one is me??
High five if you can)
The true highlight of the day for me though
was meeting my very good blogging friend Elaine from
Elaine greeted me by saying she just had to give me a hug.
What a sweet and beautiful woman.
Elaine and I share a passion for tablescaping
and it was wonderful to be able to
really talk to someone that "gets" our little misunderstood hobby!
The schedule included
stops at three local Goodwills and lunch.
I only made it to two of the stops
but you can be sure, I found PLENTY of deals!
Luck would have it that
it was 50% of most items!!
Check back later in the week.
I will show you EVERYTHING I bought!
Here's a teaser shot for you
I'll also let you know which one is me in the above photo
if you can't figure it out :-)
and find room for it all!
Thanks again Rashon, Deanna & Lisa
for hosting such a fun day.
I am already looking forward
to next year!

ReplyDeleteI had so much fun thrifting! What a great group of talented, intelligent women! I have been getting some grief about how empty my cart looks in the group photo, including from my husband! I think that's an invitation to do it again!
Can't wait to see how you use your bargains!

What a treat! Denver's a short, eight-hour drive for me. I'll be vacationing in the area in September. Maybe I'll have time to check out a few thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun. I live about an hour or so from a major city that has probably at least 6 goodwills. I know a Facebook friend took a van load of people down to the big city before school started and goodwill hopped from morning till night! I was green with envy at the fb status updates all day! I want to try and make my own thrifty outing day with my friends.
ReplyDeleteI have a bit of an addiction to thrifting! I can't believe you got 50% off, what luck!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It looks like you girls bought everything in the store. Thanks for joining the Open House Party this week.
