Hello! Have you missed me? I've been taking a bit of a break from the blog in order to get my studies done for taking the tests to get my Real Estate license. I'm happy to report, I finished all of the courses and, I am scheduled to take the State & National exams on August 8th. Wish me luck! I do know I have missed all of you! My nose has been shoved so far into books I have not been able to be creative at all, until now! Woot!
I have been wanting to do something fresh for the front porch for so long now. Mr. B & I both like to sit out there in the evenings, sip a cocktail, maybe have some dessert and unwind from the day. Of course anything I did had to be done cheaply and easily. That's just how I roll. The little set you see above we have had for at least 10 years.
Old, tired and blah! You all know that I do love me some color so, I got busy and gave the porch the summer refresh it has needed!
Can you believe this is the same exact set? Who knew that beautiful design was hiding behind the cushions?! All it took to bring these beauties back to life was a can and half of silver metallic spray paint and some clearance cushions! Boom!
I find myself peeking out the window to look at how pretty they turned out!
More color was added with this plant stand from IKEA with colorful planters and flowers from top to bottom.
I think it anchors that side of the patio so nicely.
A planter full of bright petunias greets you as you come to the front door.
Gosh I love summer in all of her glory!
3 hanging baskets again, filled with colorful flowers frame up the patio and complete the refresh project.
Once I was done I figured I really should test it out and what better way to indulge but with a slice of EDWARDS® Key Lime Pie. Hey, I had to buy it! True story, my maiden name is Edwards! No relation but seriously, that's okay because me having access to yummy pie anytime would not be pretty!
Add in a frosty beverage cola with a twist of lime (you could add some rum too, just saying *wink*) and I was in heaven!
Talk about refreshing! Nothing says summer quite like the tart flavor of key limes. This pie was just the ticket to reward myself for all of the the work I put into beautifying the porch! I'm so happy I spotted it in the freezer section at my local Walmart! I also spied other flavors I am itching to try out like:
- EDWARDS® HERSHEY’S® Chocolate Crème Pie
- EDWARDS® Turtle Pie
- EDWARDS® New York Style Cheesecake
- EDWARDS® Lemon Meringue Pie
- EDWARDS® Cookies and Crème Pie
- EDWARDS® HERSHEY’S® SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Crème Pie
- EDWARDS® REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUP® Crème Pie
- EDWARDS® Strawberry Crème Pie
And, you can be sure I will be using this to save $1.00 on any ONE (1) EDWARDS® Whole Pie by taking advantage of the Walmart EDWARDS Ibotta digital rebate (while supplies last) too! Be sure to get the coupon for yourself too! And be sure to check out Edwards Pies on their website and on Facebook for serving suggestions and current savings!
Now time for you to tell me, what EDWARDS pie will you be picking up the next time you are at Walmart?
Like what you see?

ReplyDeleteFirst of all...
ReplyDeleteNOTHING says porch sitting like Key Lime Pie! And Whoa! Your furniture looks AMAZING! I love all of the new color you have added to your porch!
We took "fast food" to the kids last week. Because our choices are sooooo limited where I live, I went to the grocery store for it. We had hot dogs, Bush beans, chips and an Edwards Key Lime Pie! How funny is that?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all the porch looks wonderful. Love the painted chairs and bright cushions! That IKEA planter is perfect for a porch!! You could also do a herb garden in it!! My Mom and I were just taking about Key Lime Pie the other day so now I double want one!!! YUM!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
