Hot enough for you yet?  Remember just a few months ago when we were complaining about all of the snow and how cold it was?  And here we are, just a few months later, sweating our tushies off LOL!  Yes, it's a hot summertime in the city! It IS hot here in Colorado too.  Of course, the saying goes here, It's a dry heat. And I'll take a dry heat over a hot and humid day anytime. The quickest way to cool off, for me anyway, is with a full bowl of a cold treat.  So, imagine how thrilled I was when I found this decadent delight down the frozen treat aisle at my grocery store the other day! TCBY Frozen Yogurt! It's better than ice cream because it has half the fat and yet, it tastes like full fat ice cream! I'm serious, it's so rich and creamy you'll never miss the fat at all. Then, (yes, there's more) I saw that it comes in 8 delicious flavors like Sea Salt Caramel Swirl and Extreme Cookies & Cream.

I am totally diggin' on the fact that Mr. B & I can both enjoy a bowl after dinner and really have no regrets about our choice. I also saw  that each carton is full of 7 probiotic cultures with 3-4 grams of protein.  TCBY frozen yogurt is healthier than ice cream all the way around! SOLD!

How To Easily Refresh Your Front Porch For Summer

Hello! Have you missed me?  I've been taking a bit of a break from the blog in order to get my studies done for taking the tests to get my Real Estate license. I'm happy to report, I finished all of the courses and, I am scheduled to take the State & National exams on August 8th.  Wish me luck! I do know I have missed all of you!  My nose has been shoved so far into books I have not been able to be creative at all, until now!  Woot!

I have been wanting to do something fresh for the front porch for so long now. Mr. B & I both like to sit out there in the evenings, sip a cocktail, maybe have some dessert and unwind from the day.  Of course anything I did had to be done cheaply and easily. That's just how I roll. The little set you see above we have had for at least 10 years.

Old, tired and blah!  You all know that I do love me some color so, I got busy and gave the porch the summer refresh it has needed! 

Can you believe this is the same exact set?  Who knew that beautiful design was hiding behind the cushions?!  All it took to bring these beauties back to life was a can and half of silver metallic spray paint and some clearance cushions! Boom!

I find myself peeking out the window to look at how pretty they turned out! 

More color was added with this plant stand from IKEA with colorful planters and flowers from top to bottom.

I think it anchors that side of the patio so nicely.

Gosh I love summer in all of her glory!

3 hanging baskets again, filled with colorful flowers frame up the patio and complete the refresh project.

Once I was done I figured I really should test it out and what better way to indulge but with a slice of EDWARDS® Key Lime Pie. Hey, I had to buy it! True story, my maiden name is Edwards! No relation but seriously, that's okay because me having access to yummy pie anytime would not be pretty!

Add in a frosty beverage cola with a twist of lime (you could add some rum too, just saying *wink*) and I was in heaven!

Talk about refreshing! Nothing says summer quite like the tart flavor of key limes. This pie was just the ticket to reward myself for all of the the work I put into beautifying the porch! I'm so happy I spotted it in the freezer section at my local Walmart! I also spied other flavors I am itching to try out like:

Anything Goes At the You're Gonna Love It Link Party

I hope you all had a safe and fun holiday weekend?  As promised, Mr. B & I stayed close to home.  Rainy weather Saturday night delayed the fireworks and we were fast asleep by the time any went off. 

In other news, my party co-host Kim & I have decided we need a break. We are putting the link party in vacation mode and we will resume at the end of August. We will each do a features post next week but there will not be a link up. We sure hope you will still stop by and visit as we will still be posting, just on a much lighter schedule so that we can enjoy the rest of the summer with our families.
