Or, actually, those you don't get to meet in person, but become such close friends that you feel like you have known them all of your life.
One such friend is Linda who blogs at A La Carte
Linda and I correspond almost daily and we have determined that we are really sisters from another mother LOL! We share soooo much in common it is scary!! Although we are separated by many miles, we are besties, or as like I like to call her, my BBF, my Bestest Bloggy Friend!
As you know, my birthday was last month and, a few days after, I received a package in the mail, from Linda. Because of the weather, it showed up a little late but is a loved and treasured gift nonetheless! Because Linda knows me so well it was the perfect gift!
Two little irons! The blue one is a vintage toy.
You can tell it was well loved by its previous owner.
And is now being loved by its new owner, ME!
The vintage red and black iron has also been well loved but the scuffs and patina are what I enjoy about it! I actually plugged it in and, IT WORKS! Yes, it heats up like it were brand new!
Don't they look so sweet on the shelf in the laundry room?
Another addition is this vintage hanger I won on eBay not long ago. Remember when phone numbers only had a few digits?
Thanks to my long long sister {grin} Linda, my laundry room makes me smile even more!
Thank you dear friend!

AND
Don't forget to come by on Tuesday's
for my link party.
I am so glad you love them! I was upset that with the weather they were late arriving, but it just gave you more days to celebrate! Always scary to order on line but these looked perfect for the laundry room. We are so much alike and I know your friendship has been such a blessing to me! Love the old hanger, oh yes such few digits in a phone back then. Sending BBF Hugs! Linda

ReplyDeleteI had one of those electric irons when I was little, I still can't get over how they sold them for children, the iron got very hot and smelled. Wasn't one of my favorite toys...I do love the blue one, how neat it is!
