As you know by now, we have our house on the market to sell.
No offers yet but, all of the feedback from showings has been really positive.
I wanted the dining room we created from the formal living room to really stand out. I was limited though, as most of my tablescaping props have been packed and are in a storage unit. That really hinders what I can do for table décor.
I kept the place settings very simple. A lacy place mat I bought at
World Market for my Easter table, topped off with a Dollar Tree lime green dinner plate and a fun striped salad plate I bought on clearance at Stein Mart awhile back. No drinkware or flatware.
The centerpiece is also kept simple with a pair of candlesticks from Pier 1 topped with candles from Ikea. The vase in the center was purchased back in December when I met up with my blogging friend, Elaine, for a thrifting date.
The colors aren't a perfect match but, they sure are close.
My hope is that the tablescape is simple enough for a potential buyer to see themselves entertaining in this room and, bright enough to excite their senses enough to make an offer LOL! Fingers and eyes crossed friends!

Hi Kathe, I love the way you decorated the table! I also love the crocheted placemats. My goal is to try and crochet my own placemats. It is so much work to try and back up a house and I wish you luck with everything. Have a great weekend. I saw it on petals to picots.

That is a great idea, to have a table set when selling your home. I used to have a neighbor who ALWAYS had a table set. It always looked so welcoming & homey. Hopefully for you it will pay off. Best of luck. -Dawn
