A Paris Girls Night In

This post is sponsored by World Market, but all opinions are my very own!

Every now and then a few of my girlfriends and I do a girls night in.
After working all week we like being able to just kick back, have a cocktail and catch up on what's going on in our lives. The hostesses change each time and we usually try to come up with a theme for our get togethers.

It was my turn to host and since it was the weekend of Bastille Day, I decided to do a French theme. Of course, I recently had the opportunity to try out the new Lorina Sparkling French Lemonades from World Market so, that may have influenced me a tad too!.
They are available in three flavors, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, and Blood Orange.
Mr. B & I loved the plain sparkling Lemonade. It is perfect on it's own or, as
a refreshing adult beverage!

I decided to create a signature drink for our girls night and even gave it a fancy French name "Le Bonne Framboise Lemon" cocktail. Which translates to "The Good Raspberry Lemon" cocktail!
Three simple ingredients to create the perfect libation to share with the girls.

I took some of the frozen raspberries and muddled them in the bottom of a tall glass.  I then added 1.5 ounces of the raspberry vodka, added ice and filled to the top with the Lorina Sparkling Lemonade.
Add some more raspberries on a pick and Oh La La!
A tasty potent potable to be enjoyed by the Madames and Mademoiselles.

While I was at World Market picking up the Lorina Sparkling Lemonade I also picked up some other goodies to go along with my theme.

World Market isn't just a name. Oh no, they stock a huge variety of Food & drinks from all over the world! And, you can always find helpful recipes on their website too.

(Oui, the bag, she is open...don't judge)
I then displayed it all on the buffet.
World Market had everything I needed to pull off my theme. Right down to the plates and napkins!

I picked up a package of smoked salmon while I was there and made a pate.
I added a sprig of dill, fresh from my garden, and placed wedges of
Brie on each tier.

The tray set up with the sweets.
Of course, in addition to my delicious cocktail, there is wine.
I found the wrought iron bottle holder at World Market in the clearance section. $2.99!
Tres bon marche, oui?
A red and a white (Check out that label!  Perfect, no?)
Little touches of France here and there.

So, what do you think?  Did I capture the Parisian theme?
Have I made you want to travel to Paris?
How about a chance to win a trip to Paris??
Cost Plus and Lorina Sparkling Lemonade would love to send you there!

  39. Hi Kathe -- I LOVE this idea for a theme night. And you can adapt it to any country with a little effort I bet. Except I think I am going to use this idea for a DATE NIGHT with my hubby! Thanks so much for sharing. {Think I might look into entering the trip to Paris sweepstakes, too!} I am visiting from Link it UP Thursday -- 7 Alive in a Double Wide. May I beg a favor? At Longings End we will be questing again next year for the Ultimate Banana Split so if you have any great suggestions in the US of ice cream parlors or dairy farms with ice cream, please leave a comment on my blog post. THANKS much, Kathe and Viva La France! Blessings...
