I wanted to greet Spring with all of the colors of the season. Bright colors and pastels all seemed appropriate.
I started with my favorite Spring plaid tablecloth and then added a bright green charger, my favorite Spring dinner plates, Forget-Me-Not pattern by English Staffordshire and a white embossed salad plate, an unnamed Johnson Bros. pattern.
My MIL, Linda, has been such a fun helper in setting my tables. She folded up the pale pink napkins and found the pretty flower napkin rings in my large stash. We both agreed, placing them on the plates adds the perfect height to the stack.
When I saw these drawer dividers at IKEA recently, I just knew they would NOT be used to control Mr. B's socks!

I used a faux grass mat from Hobby Lobby and added a sweet yellow bird and some faux daffodils. Remember, it's not what it is but, what it can be!
I have had this gardening book forever and I think it is perfect for this table!
I added in some sparkle on the table with Godinger crystal water goblets, canape plates, salt & pepper, butter dish and sugar and creamer.
I think my Godinger collection is growing as fast as my Candlewick!
Even though the days are longer and the sun shines later, you sometimes need some candle light.
I purchased these sweet wheelbarrow votive holders from Kirkland's on clearance for $1.79 each.
The only thing new for this Spring tablescape, with the exception of the garden fence, are fresh flowers from the grocery store. They recently opened a new King Soopers (part of the Kroger family of stores) near me and I am thrilled that they have a big selection of marked down bouquets in the floral department. This bunch set me back all of $4.99!
I can't wait until flowers start blooming throughout the neighborhood!
So tell me, are you anxious for Spring or, has it already arrived in your area?
Like what you see?
