Now that we have a larger dining room and I can leave the dining table fully extended, I am always on the lookout for new tablecloths. Recently I was at Target doing some Christmas shopping and saw this beautiful red tablecloth with embossed snowflakes in the right size and knew it would be perfect for a Christmas table setting.
In fact, you can see I loved it so much, I didn't even bother to iron it before I threw it on the table. You know me, patience is not my strong suit LOL. It was the perfect canvass for a more formal holiday tablescape.
The sparkly silver "chargers" you may remember from my New Year's Eve Table
The dinner plate is our everyday white Corelle and the square bowl was a clearance find at IKEA. I've used the napkins before and they were purchased from Boscovs online clearance section a few years ago. The red felt snowflake napkins rings were purchased for .99 from World Market and mimic the ones in the tablecloth.
I had seen the centerpiece at Michael's and noticed it was 50% off. I walked away but, while standing in line to pay for my other purchases, I couldn't get it out of my head and left the long line and went back and grabbed it. I am so glad I did!
I don't think it screams Christmas, do you? Just by changing the candles, I believe I can use it all winter!
I just love the frosty branches, fruit and pinecones.
Yes, I am glad I listened to my heart and bought it!
I polished up my favorite vintage Rogers silverplate flatware.
And of course, my Godinger Shannon crystal goblets had to be used on this table.
The red, white and silver just pop and sparkle on the table.
So formal and yet, so casual too.
You can see some peeks at some of my other Christmas decor and I will be sharing it all later. I hope to see you again then!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Kathe! I love those napkins! I buy from Boscov's too, but my last 2 linens purchases were disappointing. The description read 100 % cotton and it was all polyester! Love those napkin rings too!
ReplyDeleteLove it Kathe.....and I'm glad you went back for them too.....Your table looks amazing :-)
ReplyDeleteReally pretty -- and yes that centerpiece would definitely be appropriate for the rest of the Winter, especially where you live. I noticed some of the decor on the ledge -- very cute!

ReplyDeleteHey, by the time you got your table all set, the fold creases are invisible. Your table is just right for the season, but I think you're right about the cloth being one you can use well past December.
